Mark Hopkins
Executive Vice President - Wealth Management Services |
Mark Hopkins is Executive Vice President of Wealth Management Services for
WorkLife Financial Inc. He is responsible for the financial planning and
brokerage operations of the Company conducted through American Portfolios
Financial Services. His duties include managing the Financial Consultants
in the group as well as monitoring their performance and compensation. Mr.
Hopkins is instrumental in the analysis, purchase and integration of
financial planning practices, a key avenue of growth for Wealth Management
Services.
From 1997 to 2007, Mr. Hopkins was Executive Vice President of Strategic
Financial Services, Inc., and Senior Financial Consultant of Strategic
Wealth Management Services, Inc. His responsibilities included the financial
planning and brokerage operations of the Company conducted through American
Portfolios Financial Services, and managing the Financial Consultants in the
group as well as monitoring their performance and compensation.
Mr. Hopkins earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a
Management major from Central Michigan University in 1990. While at Central
Michigan University, he played varsity football for four years and earned
the distinctions of Academic All-Mid American Conference, the University
of Michigan Humanitarian Award and the Bill Boyden Award (awarded annually
to the top student-athlete at Central Michigan University).
After playing professional football for several years, Mr. Hopkins began
his career as a financial advisor at American Express Financial Advisors.
In late 1996, Mr. Hopkins left American Express to help develop Strategic
Wealth Management Services, Inc.
Mr. Hopkins holds the Series 7, Series 63, variable contracts, life
insurance and health insurance licenses.
