Senior Vice President - Client Services

As the Senior Vice President of Client Services, Mr. Butcher’s main responsibility is to increase brand awareness by consistently reinforcing the Company’s products and offerings through a high level of client service to both our client companies and their employees. This is made more effective by the fact that Mr. Butcher is part of the due diligence team that researches, selects and monitors the companies and carriers whose products we utilize. He is also the corporate liaison within WorkLife Financial’s Sales Process to coordinate with the various sales departments in order to bring all of the Company’s product offerings to clients in a time frame that best suits their needs. In addition, Mr. Butcher manages the national Client Service Team’s activities in regards to new business as well as existing clients within its geographic areas. Furthermore, he is responsible for the procurement, implementation and management of our clients’ various retirement plans.

Mr. Butcher began his career at SEI Investments in Pennsylvania as a Financial Accountant and then as a Mutual Fund Accountant; two years later, he began working for JP Morgan in New York and Delaware as an Asset Account Coordinator. In his role at JP Morgan, he accounted for a series of time critical daily money market sweeps of client’s accounts, totaling in the multi-millions. These sweeps were crucial in the firm’s ability to loan overnight money that accounted for a considerable amount of income.

In 1998, Mr. Butcher moved to Michigan to work at Comerica Bank as a Trust Officer in Global Income and Trading. One of the main activities he was responsible for was managing the global “risk” exposure and operating losses for accounts with global assets of $1.5 Billion in market value and maintaining an average of 1,300 in monthly trade volumes.

In 1999, Mr. Butcher joined Legacy Financial Services that, shortly thereafter, merged operationally with Strategic Financial Services, Inc. where he was promoted to the position of Director of Business Operations. A year later he became Director of Participant Financial Services where he managed the start-up effort of a new department aimed at providing financial services to small and medium size business and Professional Employer Organizations. Additionally, he researched, negotiated and contracted with the various investment and insurance companies that provide the vehicles used in the departments services (i.e. 401(k), 529 Plans, 412(i) Plans, Life, Disability, Medical, Dental and Workers Compensations Insurances). In 2004, he became Vice President of Strategic Business Solutions, Inc. (now owned by WorkLife Financial Inc.)

Mr. Butcher earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting with a double minor in Finance and General Business from Western Michigan University and his MBA from Wayne State University.
